Two years ago, on February 19, 2018, my mother died in a hospice house. Our relationship wasn't always an easy one; she was unhappy and let's just say she could be a difficult. She had her moments though of funny and generous, so I choose to remember those moments. And she loved Burger King, so today as a tribute, I as well as my two daughters (her adult granddaughters), will eat a Junior Whopper with cheese (no pickles, no onions, no mustard), French fries, and a chocolate shake. I so hoped she would leave this world in a different frame of mind. I know no one ever wants to die, but she died a very unhappy woman with regrets, and that breaks my heart though there are lessons to be learned from that. This photo was taken the day before she died.
